Crime scene reconstruction

Piecing together a crime scene can be a complex and sensitive undertaking. With crime scene photographs often being too graphic to show to a jury, there is a need for a visual representation without the real body or bodies and blood included.

Using precise and accurate forensic techniques, we can reconstruct a scene from photographs and measurements, replacing bodies with representative mannequin and showing representative blood spots.

There are three broad types of representation:

  • Static diagram (produced on large posters or as part of a jury bundle)
  • Movie fly through (a pre-defined route through the crime scene)
  • Virtual Reality walk through (where you decide what angle, view and position you wish to observe the scene from)

Our team has had experience in delivering forensic representations in over 1500 cases.
